Andy Robinson is an English central midfielder who was born in Bournemouth on 16th October 1992. Robinson began his career at Southampton at the age of 8. The no-nonsense box-to-box midfielder made his way up the ranks all the way to U21 level. Robinson suffered a series of injuries during his young career, which curtailed his progress somewhat. He captained Saints at U18 level, before making his first team debut in a League Cup cameo against Sheffield Wednesday in September 2012. Robinson then disappered from view for months before making his comeback for the U21s in February 2013 against West Brom. He looked solid in a draw with Liverpool's second string at St Marys in March 2013, but performed badly at Arsenal shortly afterwards. Robinson was dropped for Dom Gape and Harrison Reed towards the end of 2012/13.
