Jake Hesketh

Jake Hesketh is an English winger/attacking midfielder who was born on 27th March 1996. Hesketh joined his boyhood club Southampton at a young age, breaking through as a first year academy scholar in 2012/13. Hesketh was mainly used as an impact sub during his first term with the U18s, but really came into his own during the following campaign. Hesketh shone as one of the more experienced players in Jason Dodd's setup during 2013/14. He combined quick feet with pace and intelligence. Hesketh was equally adept playing out wide, or through the middle just behind the striker. He scored a double in the 7-0 FA Youth Cup win over Portsmouth on 10th December 2012. His second was reminiscent of Matt Le Tissier's famous 1993 goal against Newcastle at The Dell.
